I been working so hard, I'm punching my card. Eight hours--for what? Oh, tell me what I got...

Ever choreograph a song for 15 third graders?  In case you ever find yourself wanting to do so (perhaps you're a glutton for punishment), just follow these 4 easy steps to help simulate the dancing experience:

1)  Round up stray neighborhood cats.
2)  Starve them for a couple days until they're good and feisty.
3)  Toss a small bit of tuna into the cat crowd.
4)  Press play.

That's been my world for the past week.  Not only am I a teacher, I'm a choreographer.  Why doesn't it look this hard on Dancing with the Stars?

We perform this Friday to "Footloose".  To kill time, I gave each kid a solo.  God help us.

It's also report card / parent conference week.  The good times just keep on rollin'.  If I manage to make it through the week sober in one piece, I'll consider it a success.

That sounds like a riot. A better you than me riot, but a riot.

I suppose posting a video to youtube would violate all sorts of privacy rules. Drat.

That's the best description of elementary school programs I've ever read!

Good luck with everything!

I would seriously LOVE to see that show. Maybe you should watch Glee for some inspiration. :) In your spare time.

Good luck!

At my nephews preschool graduation he was the only one who did the moves properly to their dances and he looked so out of place. The upside is that they all look so cute anyways that the parents wont care.

Good luck with your performance. I'm sure everything will turn out great, then you can go have a glass (or two, maybe three) of wine to wind down.
